Nuclear Bag Model and Nuclear Magnetic Moments
In 1991, we proposed a model in which nucleus is=20 treated as a spherical symmetric MIT bag and nucleon satisfies the MIT bag model boundary condition. The model was employed to calculate=20 nuclear magnetic moments. The results are in good agreement with=20 experiment data. Now, we found this model is still interesting and=20 illuminating. ∗Email:[email protected]
متن کاملBaryon Magnetic Moments in a Relativistic Quark Model
Magnetic moments of baryons in the ground-state octet and decuplet are calculated in a light-front framework. We investigate the effects of quark mass variation both in the current operator and in the wavefunctions. A simple fit uses single oscillator wavefunctions for the baryons and allows the three flavors of quark to have nonzero anomalous magnetic moments. We find a good fit to the data wi...
متن کاملBaryon Spin and Magnetic Moments in Relativistic Chiral Quark Models
The spin and flavor fractions of constituent quarks in the baryon octet are obtained from their lowest order chiral fluctuations involving Goldstone bosons. SU(3) breaking suggested by the mass difference between the strange and up, down quarks is included, as are relativistic effects by means of a light-cone quark model for the proton. Magnetic moments are analyzed and compared with the Karl-S...
متن کاملTable of Nuclear Magnetic Dipole and Electric Quadrupole Moments
This Table is a compilation of experimental measurements of static magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of ground states and excited states of atomic nuclei throughout the periodic table. To aid identification of the states, their excitation energy, half-life, spin and parity are given, along with a brief indication of the method and any reference standard used in the particular meas...
متن کاملNuclear magnetic quadrupole moments in the single-particle approximation.
Static magnetic quadrupole moment of a nucleus, induced by T-and P-odd nucleon-nucleon interaction, is investigated in the single-particle approximation. Models are considered allowing for analytical solution. The problem is also treated numerically in a Woods-Saxon potential with spin-orbit interaction. The stability of results is discussed.
